With the enactment of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA), residents/clients have the right to control who will
see their protected, identifiable health information.
This means that communications with or about residents/clients
involving health information must be private, and limited only to
those individuals who need to know the information for treatment,
payment, and healthcare operations. Breaking HIPAA'S privacy or security
rules could mean either a civil or criminal penalty.
For further information, please refer to Isabella's Notice of Privacy Practices.
